I started serious landscape photography back in 2005 when I went to Fraser Island and realised what a beautiful place it was and that there must be other beautiful places in Australia that I had never seen. Since then I have travelled extensively all over Australia and have sought out the most exotic and beautiful locations imaginable. I have taken thousands of photographs from places of incredible beauty that most people in Australia have no idea existed.
During my travels I realised that there is no definitive advice available on how to find these places, or a budget way to see them. Most travel agents and tourist information centre staff have never actually even been to the places that they are advertising and they only show you the easy-to-get-to locations within a short distance of expensive resorts or crowded caravan parks. The great majority of travellers do not have enough time or know-how to find those hidden gems.
I am based in Port Stephens (about 2.5 hours north of sydney) There is many beautiful locations within a short driving distance from here. We have beautful secluded beaches and I can take you on a 4wd treck onto Birubi beach or the clothing optional Samurai beach. The new Coastal trail has recently opened and there is many photo opportunities there. I can also take you to the Hunter Valley wineries or to secluded creeks and waterfalls.
